Das Hamamtuch hat seinen Namen von der Weberin Nurai. Ich kenne sie persönlich und besuche sie jeweils auf meinen Reisen im Weberort. Sie und ihr Mann stellen die Tücher in Heimarbeit her. Die Tücher stammen von ihnen direkt und sind Fairtrade. In einem Atelier neben ihrem Haus arbeiten sie an einen kleinen traditionellen Webstuhl, dem „yuvarlı kara tezgah“. Er ist ähnlich, aber kleiner als der „kara tezgah“, der traditionelle Webstuhl. Dieser ist im Blogbeitrag "A functional guide to semi-automatic looms" .
I highly recommend that you first wash this towel in the 30°C fine wash cycle for its first wash and afterwards you can wash this towel at 40°C gentle cycle. Please avoid tumble drying to maintain its beauty.
Other variations include two multi-coloured pestemals with blue or beige as its base tone.
