THESE DAYS PESTEMALS ARE STYLISH, COLORFUL & WILD
The days when the classic red/ white plaid pestemal, that you only saw in a Turkish hamam, are history.
Nowadays the versatile pestemal is available in all kinds of colours, shapes and designs. Hamam towels can now be spotted on seaside beaches, lakeside lawns and by the riverbeds.
When temperatures drop too low to hang outside in your bathing suits, pestemals are great to sit on in the sauna, dry yourself off after a great swim in the local pool and, as the perfect body wrap, for men and women, during a relaxing wellness day in the spa
The hamam towels are now also used to create stylish robes and are also made into rounded beach towels.
There are many practical uses for a pestemal: a yoga towel, travel towel, baby towel, table cloth, bed cover, picnic blanket, bath towel, shower towel, or, as a funky turban (seen below in the picture… don’t take this too seriously).
Pestemals are experiencing a modern revival and have become a popular, trendy and fashionable accessory for young and old alike.
